TPMS – Tyre pressure monitoring system in India

Fleeca Offers a wireless tyre pressure monitoring system in India, Providing India’s best Tire Pressure Management & Fleet Care services at the best price.

What is TPMS (Tyre Pressure Management System)?

TPMS stands for Tyre pressure management service system is a dedicated device that monitors tire pressure in real-time or can say that monitor the air pressure inside the tires of vehicles.

TMPS provides a real-time report of current tire-pressure information to the driver or Fleet owner using either a pressure monitoring gauge known as KAWACH. This data can be monitored on a mobile application to save tyres running on low pressure for the upcoming damage wear and tears.

An important purpose of installing TPMS is to alert you about underinflation in one or more tyres on your vehicle. Under-inflated tires can cause dangerous driving conditions and even lead to accidents. Manufacturers are now working on TPMS technology and adding sensors to improve safety.

Attributes of TPMS (Tyre Pressure Management System)

Following are the critical attributes of Tyre pressure management system

  • Temperature: Track temperature of truck tyre and prevent tyre blowout issues
  • Air Pressure: Real-time monitoring of tyre inflation pressure on dashboard and mobile thereby preventing tyre damage and early wear out.
  • Dust & Waterproof: Whether it’s raining or whether the vehicle is being driven off-road, our device is waterproof and dustproof and can be used in any weather.
  • Real-Time Data Tracking: Get real-time data to the dashboard and mobile application with wireless technology.
  • Equipped With Wireless Technology: Uses wireless technology to seamlessly communicate data with dashboard and mobile application.
  • Mobile Application: A simple and unique mobile application to track all your tire data in one place
Tubeless and Tube Tyres: Can be used on both tubeless and tube tires.

How TPMS Works

Fleeca manufacturer of TPMS tyre pressure monitor system for Truck in 2016. It’s best known as the horseshoe-shaped light. This is actually a stylized flattened tire tread and sidewall with an exclamation mark in the middle.
This indicator light is part of a larger pressure monitoring device, and it’s there for your assistance. It will turn on when your tires are dry or losing pressure.

Logistic and large fleet companies are using various tire pressure monitoring devices (or TPMS), to monitor the air pressure inside their fleet tires. A TPMS‘s responsible for tyre safety. (*source Wikipedia)

Underinflated tires are less stable and more susceptible to blowouts. The TPMS system will alert the driver when the tire or tires are underinflated or low in pressure.

Sensors mounted on Truck tire send information about current tyre pressures and temperature to one of the modules in (to be checked). This module is specifically programmed to accept a variety of situation data. Direct tire pressure monitoring is usually between 28 and 35 pounds per sq inch (psi).

As directed by the federal Govt  TPMS system was required for all vehicles built in the United States after 2007.

Fleet owners in India have stat adopting TPMS knowing its benefits for their fleet this can give almost 30% extra life to tires and result into save money for owners.

Initially, there were issues with the systems, as with most changes that are quickly introduced. However, technology is improving and engineers are refining how the systems work, making them more reliable and smoother.

Fleeca Kawach known as Fleeca TPMS – Tyre pressure management system has counter all the existing Tyre issues and invented state-of-the-art TPMS that is assisting fleet owners to monitor their entire fleet on a mobile application while sitting in their office.

Kind of TPMS available in market

2 Kind of TPMS are available in Market Direct and Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems

It’s a good idea for you to inspect your tires as soon as your light goes out.

Direct tire pressure monitoring systems

it uses the sensors in each tire and sometimes a full-size spare tire to send information to a central control unit. The sensors measure internal pressure and temperature. The module receives the information and forecasts any upcoming problems with the vehicle’s information system or low-pressure lamp.

Most information is sent wirelessly via radio signals. Some aftermarket systems can be mounted outside of the tire, but most manufacturers use a sensor inside. Here is where the consumer pays the price. The battery lasts approximately ten years for each sensor.

The battery can’t be serviced and must be replaced. If the tire hits a curb, or the Truck is in an accident, the sensor stem and sensor can also be damaged. Each time a sensor needs to be changed, it must be programmed again into the control module in order to recognize it.

Wireless systems are also susceptible to problems and difficulties. They can also be easily integrated with Trucking systems. The many proprietary technologies used by manufacturers make the variety of sensors available confusing for consumers and fleet owners.

Indirect tire pressure monitoring systems

do not rely on sensors, at least not pressure sensors. To determine the tire size, the systems use wheel speed sensor data. A smaller tire will rotate faster than a larger one.

An underinflated tire will be smaller than one that has proper inflation. This data can all be gleaned from the Trucks’ electronic monitors, which are then processed using advanced programming.

Although this system is less susceptible to the vagaries caused by direct sensors, more attention should be paid. Imagine a driver filling up his tires at a gas station, and checking the pressure before he heads out on a long journey.

The indirect system must be reset each time tires are inflated. Otherwise, it will consider the new tires a potential hazard. If the system is not reset, it will detect larger tires and warn the driver if there is overinflation.

Benefits of TPMS (Best Tyre Pressure Monitoring System)

A question if every sector and industry is getting transformed with the blessings of advanced technologies these days, why are Logistics and Transportation businesses lagging behind in Tyre Management?

We all know that Logistics and Transportation businesses contribute a big segment of India’s overall economy, then why fleet businesses are still counted in the most unorganized business sectors in India?
